Schilder & Brown has been awarded from the Green Transition Fund under the The Danish Business Authority, to develop and prepare sustainable textiles for the market of the laundry industry. This will happen in a joint project with the company Vraa Dampvaskeri A/S and the innovations network Livsstil Bolig og Beklædning.
The project has significant environmental and commercial potential as the EU works with a target that 50% of all public procurement should be made sustainable. Thus far, the problem has been that no organic/sustainable fabrics have been able to withstand the laundry treatment that places great demands for wearability and washability on the fabrics.
